We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Chosen Village. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in their homes, enhancing their quality of life and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including dementia care strategies.
- Ensure client rights are respected and upheld in all interactions.
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health management tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and resident rights is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring and home care procedures.
