What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Office position at Chompers Pediatric & Teen Dentistry?
Do kids make you smile? Can you still manage to smile and greet families warmly even when your hair is on fire answering phones and verifying insurance? Well, that’s amazing – and we need you.
Front office personnel play a critical role in setting the tone for a young person’s dental visit. First, by making concerned parents feel that they are making the right choice about their child’s care when they call and second, by the way they are greeted when they arrive for their appointment.
We are seeking a reliable team member to:
- Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism
- Schedule / confirm patient appointments
- Manage recall / inactive patient system, as well as check patient short-call list to maintain an efficient office schedule
- Update insurance information for all patients at all times
- Call insurance companies to verify benefits / eligibility and submit preauthorizations as needed
- Enter EOB’s and assist with copay collection
Qualifications:
- High school education
- Customer service experience / experience answering phones
- 1 years experience working in a dental office
- Familiarity with dental insurance plans (including Medicaid / PPO’s)
This is a full-time position (32-38/hrs a week)with opportunity for career advancement! We are seeking an individual with rock solid reliability and a strong work ethic to grow with the practice. Pay commensurate with experience.
