The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for compiling and reporting manufacturing production data to account for finished production, reception and consumption of raw materials, inventory, and traceability. The Inventory Control Administrator will manage the production order process after production schedules are determined, including monitoring orders and taking corrective steps to ensure roll length and weight meet requirements.

- Manage production order process after production schedule is released. This includes monitoring order to ensure finished rolls meet customer specifications. Identify and investigate issues and enter adjustments to system data to correct issues.
- Input, update and maintain inventory and production data within the data management systems.
o Monitor and Record Raw Materials, verify accuracy:
- Raw materials removed from inventory and moved into production.
- Raw materials moved to the production process.
- Raw materials placed back into inventory.
- Participate in monthly inventory process meeting to verify raw material consumption.
- Record production data:
- Finished production.
- Consumption of raw materials.
- Orders placed on quality hold.
- Compile production orders based on schedule and customer specifications and forward to Master Planner
- Ensure quality of product by following established work methods and procedures.
- Generate or update reports, documents, tickets, or other records related to production or inventory and distribute as necessary.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and audits to identify discrepancies and reconcile system records.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy of work, understand and follow direction, respond appropriately to others, complete work in a timely manner and involve the correct people in communications.
- Follow safety guidelines. Wear the proper PPE for the job which you are performing. Report safety incidents or concerns immediately.
- May cross train with others, such as the Master Planner, to help insure department functionality in the absence of other team members.
· Create documents, tickets and items needed for production process.
· Enter data to appropriate system to record inventory and production data.
· Troubleshoot recordkeeping issues and make decisions, taking corrective action.
· Purchase chemicals for production process.

Guide Supervisors or others regarding recordkeeping and data management.
· Good basic math skills and ability to make basic mathematical calculations.
· Good problem solving and prioritization skills. Willingness to make decisions.
· Good vision to read tickets, reports, enter data, and use systems.
· Good written and spoken communication skills to interact with others while controlling production and inventory processes. Understanding of professional conduct and appropriate interaction with others.
· Fine finger movement necessary to work with records, tickets, computers.
· Willingness to learn new things.
· Ability to prioritize tasks well and organize work.
· Ability to work sitting much of the day in a typical office setting. Ability to walk the production floor to deliver tickets, retrieve items, troubleshoot problems or count inventory. Work is normally performed on ground level but a need to use steps, ladders or stools could arise.
· Ability to troubleshoot issues applying good reasoning skills.
· Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
· Prefer experience in a manufacturing setting, with textile experience a plus.
· Must have data entry/keyboarding skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software is required, particularly in Excel.
· Prefer experience in an ERP or data management system. Experience with an inventory or production management system specifically is a plus.
