We are in need of a **Manufacturing Supervisor** to work under the direction of the Construction Plant Manager, leading and directing production personnel and operational processes within the construction business unit.The Supervisor position accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff while organizing and monitoring the work process. The focus for this position should be team development, customer satisfaction for quality and delivery, process stability and efficiency. The Supervisor will be a working supervisor with time spent both in the office and on the production floor and will be expected to develop the process and technical expertise necessary to lead the team and meet objectives. The Supervisor will monitor team member performance, ensure appropriate training is delivered to team members and take action to build a successful team.

General Job Responsibilities
- Maintain key metrics to communication expectations, monitor activities and control safety, quality, labor, material, overhead, cost, processes,workforce, maintenance, housekeeping and inventory.
- Analyze metrics to identify negative trends, communicate concerns and recommend or take corrective action
- Ensure coordination of business objectives

Skills
- Intermediate software skills with MS Office and manufacturing systems (production, inventory)
- Strong mechanical understanding and experience with manufacturing equipment is necessary to understand and guide others on departmental machinery and processes.
- General math skills are necessary to troubleshoot issues with machinery, processes or to analyze trends. Ability to make general calculations is necessary in reporting and to report metrics and analyze trends.
- Good critical thinking skills are necessary to analyze information, form judgements and reach well-reasoned conclusions
- Ability to read, write and interpret written communications, policies, mathematical specifications and other documentation.
- Great verbal/written communication skills are necessary when working with teams to accomplish tasks or identify issues.
- Ability to maintain a calm disposition and manage team members in a way that fosters positive teamwork, learning and success is necessary. Must react well under pressure and treat others with respect.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimum supervision
- Understanding business implications for action
- Moderate lifting required (to 50 lbs); Climbing to 10 feet above floor level
- Will frequently be required to stand, walk, use both hands to lift, remove or place objects, use fine finger movement to handle objects/yarn, stretch to reach for positions or materials, stoop or maintain awkward body positions to work with machinery or processes.
- Good vision to insure quality of product, read specifications, work with fine yarns, complete records and read instructions or information.
- Technical r Management degree with at least 3 years of recent experience in manufacturing leadership or staff development, preferably in a related industry (textiles) -OR- an equivalent combination of education/experience is preferred.
- Significant experience with MS Excel is preferred and Dynamics AX experience is desirable.
