What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Choices of St. Joseph?
Now hiring full and part time Direct Support Professionals to support (caretaker) intellectually disabled adults in our residential facilities throughout the Saint Joseph area. Duties include: light housekeeping, cooking basic meals, passing medications, assisting individuals with all areas of daily activity, and transporting individuals throughout the community. Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour, $19.00 per hour on weekends, plus mileage reimbursement when transporting and, annual retention bonuses. Must be caring, reliable, and able to think on their feet. Must possess a high school diploma or GED and must be able to pass a background check. A valid driver's license, and vehicle with insurance is required.
No experience necessary, we will provide all the required paid training.
Full time employees receive paid time off-
-8 paid holidays per year
-6 personal leave days per year
-One week of paid vacation upon completion of one year of employment / two weeks upon completion of two years
Full time employees can purchase group health insurance, dental and, vision insurance upon completion of a probationary period.
