Duties
- Monitor client’s health and reporting changes to healthcare teams
- Supervise medications following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, assist with cooking, and maintain cleanliness in common areas and resident rooms
- Support client during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence
- Implement individualized care plans designed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe environment by assisting with regular cleaning duties.
- Document all care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
- Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents by executing CPR or first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with team members, family members, and healthcare providers to deliver holistic support aligned with each resident’s needs
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Experience in medication supervision and understanding of care plans is advantageous
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare environments
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities such as autism is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through previous roles in home health services
- Certification in CPR and first aid is mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required
- Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents of diverse backgrounds
