Starting Pay: $17.50/hour — higher rates based on experience
No High School Diploma Required
Work Schedule:
- Thursday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Friday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Choices for Community Living (CCL) is seeking dedicated, compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in New Castle, Delaware. In this part-time role, you will support adults with developmental disabilities, helping them live with greater independence, dignity, and inclusion within their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living tasks (hygiene, grooming, etc.)
- Administer medications as required
- Support meal preparation and dietary needs
- Promote community engagement and social activities
- Document care, behaviors, and progress accurately
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, dependable, and caring individuals
- Strong desire to make a meaningful difference
- Clear communication skills (read/write/speak English)
- Ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and physical tasks (walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, squatting, twisting)
Requirements
- Valid Delaware driver’s license with no more than 5 points
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or drug-related offenses)
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in direct support or caregiving
