Now Hiring: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Part-Time
Location: Seaford, Delaware
Work Schedule:
- Thursday – Friday: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Choices for Community Living (CCL) is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Seaford, DE. In this role, you will provide meaningful support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes, community settings, and family residences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and grooming
- Administer medications as needed
- Support meal preparation and dietary needs
- Encourage community engagement through social and recreational activities
- Accurately document daily progress, behaviors, and care provided
Ideal Candidate:
- Caring, patient, and reliable
- Strong desire to support others and make a positive impact
- Valid Delaware driver’s license (5 or fewer points)
- Physically able to lift, transfer, and assist individuals
- Perform tasks that include walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and twisting
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with 5 or fewer points
- No DUI or drug-related convictions
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Preferred Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience in direct support or a similar role (preferred)
Schedule & Work Conditions:
- Part-time position with a consistent weekly schedule
- 12-hour shift on Saturdays
- In-person role
