Direct Support Professional (DSP) – PRN
Location: Dover, DE
Availability: PRN (Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays)
CCL is currently seeking PRN (as needed) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Dover, Delaware. This flexible role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, and provides a meaningful opportunity to support adults with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and quality of life.
About the Role:
As a DSP, you will deliver essential, person-centered care in various settings, including day programs, individual or family homes, and community environments. Your role will be key in helping individuals pursue their goals, maintain dignity, and fully engage in community life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed care plans
- Support individuals with meal preparation and dietary needs
- Facilitate social, recreational, and community-based activities
- Accurately document services provided, behavioral updates, and individual progress
Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate:
- A caring, patient, and compassionate attitude
- A genuine desire to support and empower others
- Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals, as well as perform tasks involving walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Reliability, responsibility, and professionalism
Requirements:
- PRN availability (must include weekends and holidays)
- Valid Delaware driver’s license with no more than 5 points
- Clean driving record (no DUI or drug-related offenses)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical exam
