Choices Coordinated Care Solutions is seeking a contract-based Behavioral Health Outreach & Referral Marketing Coordinator to develop and maintain referral relationships for pediatric behavioral health services across South Mississippi.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with experience in healthcare outreach, community engagement, or social services who enjoys building relationships and working independently. The position blends outreach, relationship development, and referral coordination to ensure children and adolescents are successfully connected to needed services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Outreach & Relationship Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including schools, healthcare providers, hospitals, child welfare agencies, and community organizations
- Conduct outreach activities such as meetings, presentations, and regular communication to educate partners on available services and referral processes
- Identify and develop new referral sources within the community
Referral Coordination
- Receive and process referrals from community partners and outreach efforts
- Collect and document required demographic and referral information accurately
- Coordinate intake scheduling with clinical staff
- Submit all referrals to the Agency Intake Coordinator within 24 hours
Tracking & Follow-Up
- Maintain an organized referral tracking system, including referral source, status, and outcomes
- Follow up with families and referral sources to support successful intake completion and reduce missed appointments
Reporting & Communication
- Submit a monthly, signed activity report and invoice detailing outreach efforts, referrals received, and intake outcomes
- Communicate regularly with the Executive Director or designee regarding progress, challenges, and needs
- Participate in meetings or planning initiatives related to outreach and referral development, as requested
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in community outreach, healthcare, behavioral health, social services, or referral coordination
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, documentation systems)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout South Mississippi
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field
- Experience working with community partners such as schools, providers, or agencies
- Background in outreach, business development, or healthcare marketing
- Familiarity with behavioral health or pediatric services
Compensation:
- $20/hour for outreach and administrative activities
- $50 per completed intake (up to 20 intakes per month)
- $75 per completed intake (for any intakes beyond 20 per month)
