What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Mobile Vehicle Installation Technician position at Choice Window Tint?
Orbital Installation Technologies is looking for experienced mobile 12V installers for local, regional, and nationwide fleet installation projects.
This is hands-on field work installing GPS equipment, dash cameras, telematics hardware, tablets, sensors, and other electronic equipment on commercial vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
We are looking for technicians who know how to work independently, understand vehicle wiring, and take pride in clean, professional installations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and servicing 12V electronic equipment on commercial vehicles and equipment
- Mounting cameras, devices, brackets, and related equipment
- Troubleshooting basic wiring and installation issues
- Testing equipment before completing the job
- Taking clear installation photos and completing required paperwork
- Traveling directly from home to customer locations and project sites
What We’re Looking For
- At least two years of hands-on 12V installation experience
- Experience with vehicle electronics, car audio, alarms, cameras, GPS equipment, fleet equipment, or similar work
- Strong understanding of automotive wiring
- Ability to use a digital multimeter
- Basic professional installation tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Smartphone for photos, communication, and job documentation
- Ability to work independently and communicate professionally
- Dependable, on time, and willing to follow project instructions
Travel
Some projects may be close to home, while others may require regional or nationwide travel. Technicians who are willing to travel will have access to more opportunities.
