The Front Desk Manager position is also available and offers higher pay, but requires the employee to commit to more than 6 months, work 5 days a week with no days off, and be both reliable and fully trained. More details are given during interview.

Comfort Inn Chandler - Phoenix I-10 located on 7400 W Boston St, Chandler, AZ 85226, is looking for a front desk agent for all shifts to join our team! Most of our employees have stayed with us for over 10 years! We're looking for trustworthy, positive and hard-working candidates.
- Previous experience in hospitality industry is strongly desired but not required
- Respectable level of experience in a customer service related field utilizing computer systems and purchase of sale systems
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel and/or hotel property management systems/PMS systems or ability to quickly learn
Responsibilities

- Assists guests and owners in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up as necessary
- Register guests and assigns rooms
- Represents the hotel to guests throughout all stages of the guest's stay, from check in to check out
- Determines a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Helps guest’s complete registration and then assigns rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit/ID-checking procedures
- Procedures when handling and processing financial transactions.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift
- Works closely with the housekeeping department in the keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work
- Must be sales-minded, finding out all of their future needs to present information
- Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents
- Assists in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations
- Facilitates communication with guests in person or via phone, email, etc
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel such as group room blocks, corporate accounts or meeting room rentals
- Uses proper telephone etiquette
- Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties
- Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to managers/owners and/or supervisors
- Knows all safety and emergency procedures, Is aware of accident prevention policies
- Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Mop floors in lobby and elevator and clean all tables. Vacuum lobby. Make sure lobby and hallways are always clean. Fill up lemonade dispenser in lobby for customers.
- To be strict with customers about the rules and make no exceptions.
- Monitor guests in all areas and to implement rules and make no exceptions.
- Adheres to general work rules and department procedures
- Attends all required department and hotel meetings
- Must be flexible with schedule – may include nights, weekends and holidays
- All other duties as assigned
