Garage Door Service Technician Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Garage Door Service Technician Apprentice to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and is looking for long-term career growth opportunities.

This role is primarily focused on garage door service and repair work, including diagnosing and fixing garage door issues. There will also be opportunities to assist with and learn garage door installations as part of your training and development.

We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job — someone interested in building a long-term career in a skilled trade. The right candidate will have opportunities for advancement, increased responsibility, and leadership as the company continues to grow.

You will be trained to:

Diagnose and repair garage door problems
Service garage door openers and related systems
Perform garage door maintenance and troubleshooting
Assist with residential and commercial garage door installations
Communicate with customers professionally
Develop leadership skills with opportunities to help train future technicians
Qualifications

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Self-motivated, dependable, and teachable
Comfortable speaking with customers and recommending solutions when needed
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background and drug screenings
Experience in construction, mechanical work, or other hands-on trades preferred
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments

Assist with shop tasks including:
Cleaning and organizing

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely lift heavy materials and tools
Comfortable working on ladders and at varying heights
Ability to work in different weather conditions
Ability to bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the day
Schedule

Monday through Friday
