Assembly Worker

Assemblers, 1st Shift (No experience necessary, we'll train, must be over 18) Hours are 5:00am - 3:30pm

Essential Functions:

• Operator follows quality plans and produces required quantity of parts.
• Must produce parts within required tolerances.
• Perform basic quality checks every hour.
• Properly label containers with correct id tag.
• Pack parts in correct container to customers’ specifications.
• Correctly and legibly maintain appropriate paperwork.
• Operate a handheld grinder and buffing tools to remove burrs, die marks and scratches from a part.
• Uses other tools and parts to assemble and produce a finished part.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Supervisor, Safety Manager, or Human Resources.
• Wear all provided personal protective equipment.
• Achieve a standard of excellence with our work processes and results by utilizing quality plans and procedures.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Maintains a neat and clean work environment.

Personal Protective Equipment Required (PPE):

• Safety glasses
• Sleeves (only when handling parts, spot welding etc)
• Gloves
• Safety Toe work boots

Qualifications:

• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and reach with hands and arms.

• Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 10 pounds frequently with a maximum of 20 pounds.
