Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Journeyman to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and other trades as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
Work Environment
This position may involve indoor and outdoor work at construction sites, commercial buildings, or residential properties. May require travel between job sites.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
