About the Role

This role is built for someone who genuinely thrives on the road and primary goal is to deliver Customer Confidence in our products and service. Travel regularly includes weekends, early-morning departures, and last-minute schedule changes.

If your ideal week includes being home most nights, or you need predictable evenings and weekends, this isn't the right fit. If you're looking for a career built around independent travel, hands-on problem solving, and new plants and people every week, keep reading.

This role’s mission is to restore customer confidence by safely installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing Choice Bagging Equipment systems at customer facilities throughout North America.

Electrical Work

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Diagnose and repair control wiring, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Test and maintain safety circuits and sensors
  • Troubleshoot basic PLC and HMI issues (programming not required)

Decision Making

  • Approve startup completion, equipment adjustments, service recommendations, and customer training completion
  • Escalate design concerns, warranty questions, safety issues, schedule delays, and scope changes

Work Environment

  • Will be working in non-climate-controlled industrial settings, including cement, lime, graphite, chemical, mining, aggregate, and food manufacturing plants
  • Will experience temperature extremes (100°F and near-freezing), dust, elevated platforms, and outdoor installations
  • Will stand, kneel, climb ladders, and lift equipment for extended periods

Qualifications

  • Delivering customer confidence is your primary goal.
  • Must thrive out in the field; frequent travel throughout North America
  • High school diploma or GED. No additional degree or certification required
  • At least 5 years of relevant on-the-job mechanical and electrical experience
  • Valid passport required (or ability to obtain one); ability to travel to Canada required, Mexico travel a plus

  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time and lift up to 50 pounds

What Success Looks Like

  • Enjoys solving difficult mechanical and electrical problems
  • Can work independently without constant supervision
  • Is energized by extended time on the road; comfortable being alone for long stretches, with evenings and weekends in a hotel room as a normal part of the week
  • Communicates early and often, and knows when to ask for help
  • Stays positive under pressure and adapts well to changing conditions

Travel Required
