Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines under the direction of the Lead Slot Technician.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Responsible for the floor repair and proper preventative maintenance of all slot machines, including cleaning machines, overhauls, etc.
  • Responsible for the repair, overhaul, and proper preventative maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines in accordance with gaming regulations.
  • Handles the initial set-up and check out of new slot machines.
  • Assists the Lead Technician in the break down, relocation and reset up of machines and stands to be relocated.
  • Assists in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times requested.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company's internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Brings disputes and unusual customer activities to the attention of the Shift Manager.
  • Promotes positive Customer Relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property - Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Electronics experience and/or degree preferred.

TESTING:

Must complete the Slot Technician I test (no minimum score required).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Customers and other Employees of the company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as must be able to lift and maneuver at least eighty (80) lbs. or lift/maneuver at least one hundred-fifty (150) pounds using a dolly, and standing/walking 100% of the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee regularly works near electrical and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
