What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Protection Services Project Manager position at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma?
Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Project Manager, you will assist the Environmental Protection team with facilitation and completion of a range of projects and strategic implementation. You will manage the execution and completion of projects according to approved timelines and implementing short and long-term initiatives to achieve environmental sustainability of the Choctaw Nation. You will also integrate leaderships direction, best management practices, and organizational business partners to achieve program goals. You will report to the Senior Director of Environmental Protection Services.
Primary Tasks:
1. Coordinate the execution of departmental goals by organizing and integrating necessary resources for ensuring continuity of new and existing strategic plans.
2. Conduct research, develop new processes, and counsel management to manage projects with the Senior Director of Environmental Protection Services.
3. Develop complex correspondence, presentations, and reports with significant responsibility for technical research, content, tone, and impact using detailed knowledge of accounting principles and budgets, and financial plans and objectives.
4. Responsible for analyzing program goals, operational systems, and change management initiatives within the organization. Advises management regarding strategies to address these areas.
5. Facilitate the infusion of business acumen in the workforce through (but not limited to) business case development, strategic research, and business analysis.
6. Assist in the development of change management strategies, plans, and tools to help managers and employees adapt to complex organizational changes.
7. Assist in budget and salary planning, procurement of supplies and services, implementation of organization initiatives. Develops gap analysis, validates organizational objectives, and recommends training objectives; works with HR business partners to measure ROI/quality standards.
8. You will perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, or Environmental Health
Research skills with emphasis on financial acumen
Maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to develop and support implementation of organizational and change theories.
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (can perform complex functions) skills, and e-learning
Three (3) years' project management experience required.
