Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their beverage and food selections, ensuring a friendly and engaging atmosphere
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions, including cash handling and card payments
- Prepare coffee beverages, snacks, and light food items following safety and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time efficiently to handle busy periods, ensuring prompt service without sacrificing quality
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and assist with food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards
- Support cashiers with basic math calculations for transactions and provide excellent customer service throughout each shift
Experience
- Previous barista or coffee shop experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with coffee preparation techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math for cashiering and retail transactions
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in food preparation or serving within a café or retail setting is a plus
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
