Overview

We are looking for an experienced, energetic server to join our lively and fast-paced sushi and hibachi restaurant. The ideal candidate thrives in a high energy environment, delivers exceptional customer service, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, and efficient service to guests
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback with professionalism and positivity
• Make alcoholic beverages

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest interactions
• Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in fast-paced settings
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance and guest safety
• Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales while providing genuine recommendations
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
• Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation and menu details
