Position Summary: This entry level position is responsible for making repairs to and completing requests for maintenance tasks for residential units vouchered for Section 8 residents; maintaining yards and minor landscaping.
The rate of pay for this position is $37,440 per year, commensurate with experience ($18.00 hourly; FLSA Non-Exempt).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and paint residential units
- Make minor wall repairs as necessary
- Minor electrical and plumbing repairs
- Carpet removal
- Maintain yards and minor landscaping
- Ensure properties meet lead safe standards
- Clean properties for market-ready condition.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in plastering and painting
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in basic custodial duties
Skills:
- Basic plumbing and electrical duties
- Must have own tools
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently; have a good work ethic
- Skilled in all aspects of flooring and carpeting
- Able to lift 50 pounds; some bending, stretching required
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
