Position Summary: The Data Analyst will work to improve data quality and reporting for CHN Housing Partners, with a focus on the Detroit Housing Network. This position will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data, identifying trends and patterns, and producing reports that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This is a hybrid position with three days in our Detroit, MI office.
The rate of pay for this position is $60,000 - $67,000 per year, commensurate with experience (FLSA Exempt)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program staff and leadership to identify key metrics, track progress, and provide insights to improve program outcomes.
- Develop and maintain reports and analytic dashboards to assist with workflow monitoring, production tracking, and funder impact reporting. Support the DHN team with a focus on data governance including data integrity, cleaning, and auditing.
- Assist with and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and data quality guidelines.
- Conduct data analysis to understand trends, impacts, and areas for improvement in DHN’s Key Performance Indicators.
- Help develop, implement, and disseminate evaluations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in data analysis and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., public health or policy, social science, GIS, data science, statistics, computer science, etc.)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or social impact organization
- Experience building and using reports, dashboards, and mapping
- Strong background in Data Management and Business Analysis
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to work within a diverse team on training and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills across multiple technical skill levels
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize several programs and collaborate with other internal and external partners
Skills:
- Data analytics and visualization
- Expert written and verbal communication skills
- Strong grasp of data management and business analysis
- Attention to detail to work with data to identify trends for reporting and analytics
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to be extremely effective independently, prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
- Proven ability to handle confidential information

Preferred:
- Experience with GIS software
- Experience with Salesforce
- Knowledge of housing services and programs
