CHMC- OR- RN – Per Diem - Day Shift- 7:30a-5:15p – Requisition 9590

Per Diem Pay: $54.88

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from various levels of anesthesia, ensuring a safe and effective transition from surgery to recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, monitoring for potential physical or psychosocial complications.

• Coordination: Manage the treatment plan and MD orders while coordinating with the surgical team and other professional disciplines.

• Communication: Document patient data accurately and provide essential education to patients and their families.

• Leadership: Supervise unlicensed staff and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Safety: Adhere to nursing codes of ethics and hospital policies to maintain a high standard of patient safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Licensure: Current State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

• Education: Completion of a Critical Care Course (or willingness to complete within 6 months).

• Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred; knowledge of anesthetic agents and patient responses is essential.

• Availability: Must be able to fulfill on-call requirements.

• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift as needed.

• The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
