As a Happiness Engineer & Gift Guru, you're not just a retail clerk; you're the heart and soul of our customer experience. You'll be the go-to expert for finding the perfect gift, creating unforgettable shopping experiences, and ensuring every customer leaves with a bit more joy than they came in with. This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, has a knack for retail, and wants to make a real impact on our customers' day-to-day lives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service that turns first-time visitors into regulars and regulars into friends.
- Use your gift-guru prowess to help customers find the perfect item, whether it's for a birthday, holiday, or just because.
- Process sales transactions with a smile, ensuring a smooth and pleasant checkout experience.
- Create a welcoming, fun atmosphere that makes every shopping experience feel like a visit with friends.
- Engage with the little ones, making their visit memorable with our unique selection of cuddly companions and more.
- Contribute to the store’s visual merchandising and upkeep, ensuring the shop is always looking its best.
- Stay knowledgeable about our products and services to effectively sell and promote them to customers.
- Handle customer queries and concerns with empathy and efficiency, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- PLEASE NOTE: Primary hours will be 3 pm until close (which is 6 p.m. most nights) and every other Saturday until the Christmas season and then close will be 8 p.m. and some Sundays.
Qualifications:
- A genuine love for interacting with people and creating positive experiences.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus, but not a requirement. We believe in personality and passion over everything!
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage easily with customers of all ages.
- A flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to gift selection and store aesthetics.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, because that's when the fun really happens!
- A team player attitude, ready to jump in and help out wherever needed.
