Primary Purpose:
Under close supervision perform data entry including accounting, personnel, budget, demographics, and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data into computer databases.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and do word processing.
Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance.
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
Ability to understand detailed written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet established deadlines.
Experience:
Experience in school data entry preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records and Reports
- Key alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source document and verify results according to procedures provided.
- Identify deficiencies in source documents and return them to originator for correction.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
Other
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Assist and support administration office by answering phones, receiving visitors, deliveries, organizing and filing documents.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: Work is performed in an office setting; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours
