Chiropractic Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, organized, and healing-centered clinic environment. This position supports daily front-desk operations, patient flow, scheduling, insurance coordination, and administrative tasks while providing exceptional customer service to chiropractic and massage therapy patients.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Experience
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Answer phones, respond to texts/emails, and manage patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule chiropractic and massage appointments
- Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor at all times
Administrative Duties
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay fees
- Process payments (cash, credit/debit, HSA/FSA)
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system
- Scan, upload, and organize patient documents
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Insurance & Billing Support (if applicable)
- Verify insurance benefits
- Explain coverage, co-pays, and treatment plans to patients
- Assist with basic billing, authorizations, and claims support
- Communicate with insurance companies when needed
Clinic Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and office area
- Coordinate patient flow between chiropractic and massage services
- Assist the doctor and massage therapists with non-clinical support tasks
- Monitor office supplies and assist with ordering
- Support marketing efforts (appointment reminders, reviews, referrals)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Prior experience in a chiropractic, medical, or wellness office (preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills/Bilingual (preferred)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills; EHR experience a plus
