Summary of Role:
The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for oversight of multiple mission-critical data center campuses, ensuring consistent operations, safety, and performance across facilities. This role provides leadership to site-level Facilities Managers and teams, driving operational excellence, standardization of procedures, and alignment with CTP’s business objectives.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in managing multi-site mission-critical facilities, a strong background in electrical and mechanical infrastructure, and the leadership skills to build high-performing teams across geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Oversight & Leadership
- Provide direct leadership and operational oversight to Site Facilities Managers across assigned campuses.
- Ensure consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) across all sites.
- Serve as escalation point for site-level incidents, emergencies, and major operational decisions.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure facilities maintain 99.999% uptime through proactive maintenance programs, risk mitigation strategies, and capacity planning.
- Oversee audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor performance metrics across facilities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Project & Budget Management
- Oversee regional capital projects and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability and efficiency goals.
- Partner with Finance on regional budget planning, cost control, and vendor contract management.
- Ensure vendor compliance with SLAs across all campuses.
Safety & Training
- Partner with the Regional Safety & Training Manager to ensure safety standards are met and staff receive ongoing technical and operational training.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure readiness for emergency response across facilities.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a regional point of contact for customer escalations and key operational discussions.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on facility performance, risks, and project status.
Required Experience:
- 10 years of experience in mission-critical facilities management, with at least 5 years in a multi-site or regional leadership role.
- Deep technical knowledge of data center systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, power distribution, BMS/EPMS).
- Proven track record in leading diverse teams across multiple sites.
- Strong project management experience with infrastructure upgrades and construction projects.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management expertise.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification required; CSP or other safety certifications preferred.
- PMP certification a plus.
- NFPA 70 E certification a plus
