Role Overview:
We are seeking a Financial Operations Analyst to analyze the company's financial performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. They examine financial data, forecast future performance, and support budgeting and financial planning processes. This role often involves developing financial models, conducting cost analysis, and presenting findings to management.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Analysis - Analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Cost Analyst - Conduct cost analysis to identify cost drivers, understand expenses, and recommend strategies to reduce costs.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning - Support budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Forecasting and Trend Analyst - Develop financial models, forecast future performance, and identify trends that may impact financial results.
- Process Improvement - Identify inefficiencies in financial operations and recommend solutions to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate the procurement process across facilities, managing terms & conditions negotiations, elevate risk areas, track procurement logs and critical capex with the FM’s.
- Analytical Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for analyzing financial data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Financial Modeling - Proficiency in developing and using financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Data Analysis - Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to extract insights from large datasets and present them in a clear and concise manner.
- Procurement/contracts/fixed assets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, or financial reporting.
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“US GAAP”).
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft suite, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in data centers, real estate development, REITs, or infrastructure-related businesses.
- Knowledge of US GAAP relevant to real estate and infrastructure projects, such as cost capitalization, consolidations, revenue recognition and leases.
- Experience working at a big four or large accounting firm, or relevant industry experience.
