IPC 620 Cable Inspector - 218851

Chipton-Ross is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cable Inspector to join our team in Oldsmar, FL. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in cable inspection and a strong understanding of IPC-A-620 standards. You will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of cable assemblies using established methods, procedures, and specifications
• Evaluate soldered and crimped connections in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, and scales
• Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, parts lists, and inspection instructions
• Identify, document, and disposition nonconforming materials (accept, reject, or rework)
• Monitor and verify product quality using statistical process control or similar procedures
• Collaborate with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues
• Support assembly tasks within assigned inspection areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Proven inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated expertise in soldered and crimp inspection of cable assemblies per IPC-A-620 standards
• Strong ability to interpret technical documentation, including drawings, diagrams, IPC manuals, and work instructions
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with personal computers and modern applications
• Ability to read and write in English
• Willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks as needed
• Ability to successfully pass a required medical screening exam

Education Requirement

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
