POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Part-Time IT Technician to assist with on-site setup and installation of network and camera systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and install IT and camera equipment at customer sites.
- Run and terminate Ethernet/network cables (Cat5e/Cat6).
- Test and verify connectivity for all cabling and devices.
- Assist with basic network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Maintain clean and organized cable routes with professional-quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with team members and project leads to complete setups on schedule.
- Follow all company safety and quality standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience running and terminating Ethernet cables.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, routers).
- Experience setting up computer or camera systems.
- Skilled with cable testers, crimping tools, and labeling systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in IT fieldwork, low-voltage installation, or A/V setups.
- Familiarity with PoE devices, CCTV systems, or IP camera installation.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification or coursework in IT, networking, or electronics preferred.
