Overview and Responsibilities

The K-12 Administrative Coordinator supports CVTC’s K-12 Relations team, curriculum, and instruction. The K-12 Relations team is responsible for creating partnerships with local school districts to offer college credit opportunities in area high schools. The K-12 Administrative Coordinator performs functions related to recruitment, and enrollment. This position reports to the Director of PK-12 Initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate K-12 course details across the college and to high school partners, parents, and students. 
  • Research and provide CVTC program and admission requirements for K-12 full program students to K-12 stakeholders.
  • Process dual enrollment applications, verifying pre-requisites and program requirements and maintain student enrollment report.
  • Monitor course enrollments for K-12 programs and work with Admissions for reserved capacity.
  • Communicate enrollment, registration, and transcript/certificate information to dual enrollment students and stakeholders.
  • Communicate with bookstore and K-12 stakeholders.
  • Assist with the coordination of High School Academy events.
  • Update K-12 communications to stakeholders, program guidebooks, and review orientation Canvas courses.
  • Establish and execute comprehensive event project plans in coordination with other CVTC staff, including timelines, logistics, marketing, registration, and engage in regular checkpoints to ensure the plan is on track.
  • Collaborate with CVTC teams to strategically plan and execute a variety of recruitment, promotional and informative/educational events, finalize materials, and order giveaways.
  • Assist and conduct recruitment and orientation sessions for K-12 students and programs.
  • Provide back-up to K-12 Program Assistant and High School Academy Specialists.
  • Deliver new ideas and creative approaches to constantly improve event experiences and K-12 processes.
  • Facilitate purchasing and requisitions for the K12 team.
  • Provide clerical support to K-12 and Curriculum departments for completion of special projects, preparation of purchasing requestions, invoices, travel expenses, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars.

  • Advanced knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs for communication, data collection, and decision making including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of and ability to learn Teams, Banner, Zoom, SharePoint, and Lumens.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in an administrative professional, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Experience in education preferred.
