JOB SUMMARY

The job duties of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Coordinator – Recovery and Wellness Consortium (RWC) include but are not limited to support and assist the RWC in providing technical and programmatic assistance for overall administration and management of the Consortium. This includes quality improvement and compliance monitoring.  Collaboration with administration, service facilitators, consumers, and community vendors to ensure positive consumer outcomes within CCS is essential. Provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.

NOTE: This position is a full-time, remote/work from home position and will not have an on-site workspace, however there are required monthly in-person meetings located at the Chippewa County Courthouse (Chippewa Falls, WI). Must reside in Wisconsin and have the ability to report to the Chippewa County Courthouse as job demands require.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties described below are indicative of what the Quality Assurance and Improvement Coordinator – RWC might be asked to perform. This job description is to incorporate any county ordinances created for the position of Quality Assurance and Improvement Coordinator – RWC. This is not an exhaustive list of job responsibilities and therefore other duties may be assigned:

 

Administrative Functions:

  • Provide assistance with Recovery and Wellness Consortium quality control efforts; provide and coordinate staff development and training; evaluate programs and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency; ensure compliance of all programs. 
  • Work jointly with RWC Operations Administrator, Managers, Supervisors and other staff within the RWC in a cooperative effort to ensure effective operations.
  • Work as a liaison with CCS vendors to problem solve and provide guidance, training and information to staff and/or vendors to improve overall system compliance and ensure recovery-oriented services are provided.
  • Work with staff and/or vendors regarding education and application of local, state, and federal legislation, regulations, policies and administrative rules.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff, consumers and the general public about RWC programs and services.
  • Serve as a resource to service facilitators regarding service authorization, program values, and development of individualized plans of care.   Available for day-to-day consultation and guidance.  
  • Maintain proficient working knowledge of the Electronic Health Record. Provide training and technical assistance to staff in utilization of the system.   Evaluate system for efficiency and assist in improvement processes.
  • Interact and communicate, both orally and in writing, with local agencies, organizations, and state bureaus, acting as an advocate for and interpreting agency programs, responsibilities, and consumer needs; address public concerns with eligibility; represent the Division and the agency as a liaison to community groups and provides information about available services and programs as requested. 
  • Work to achieve active involvement and participation of schools, court, health care providers, and other appropriate community resources in resolving problems.
  • Use discretion with consumers; observe rules of confidentiality and maintain non-judgmental attitude.
 

Customers:

  • All prospective, current or past DHS consumers.

 

Team Members:

  • Any professional, paraprofessional or other stakeholder we work with in the serving of consumers. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required at the time of hire or for the continuation of employment. 


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work or a related field required (e.g. psychology, sociology, etc.) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience required.
  • Program specific training may be an additional requirement where relevant. 
  • Social Work Certification preferred.
    • If the certification is from another state, employee must obtain a WI State Social Work Certification within one (1) year of employment.
  • A valid driver’s license required.
