Chipmatic, Inc., a full-service machine shop facility and provider of contract turning and milling services, along with high production saw cutting located in Elmore, OH (20 minutes east of Toledo). Chipmatic, Inc. makes a broad range of parts for Aerospace, Automotive, Military Construction, and other industries. We are looking for a driven individual who has a team mindset, solid work ethic, and the willingness to learn to join our Quality Department as a Tech.

Summary: Join the Quality Department in driving excellence across all production operations, ensuring every product and service meets — and consistently exceeds — customer expectations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, uphold rigorous quality standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑value outcomes. This role offers clear pathways for professional advancement, including development toward Quality Engineer, leadership responsibilities, and future opportunities in Quality management as you expand your skills and impact within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Monitor production for conformance to specifications

· Perform first piece and final inspections of product and document as required

· Support the effectiveness of corrective actions

· Ensure that non-conforming products are tagged and segregated

· Develop and execute CMM programs as needed for production and tooling

· Utilize metrology equipment for measurement of product

· Perform Gage and R&R studies

· Perform gage calibrations

· Support capability studies as needed

· Conduct first piece inspections

· Assist operators in setting up gaging

· Ensure that operators are performing the required production tasks

· Perform other tasks as assigned

· Ability to read blueprints

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma/GED Required. 1 years of Quality Control training, 3 years of manufacturing quality control desired or equivalent work experience required. Machining experience considered an asset and strongly preferred.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or in small group settings. Very comprehensive Blueprint Reading skills are a must.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations. Ability to reason how others might have reacted to performing their everyday job functions. Use reasoning in writing work instructions and process functions to assure intended results.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SPC and Gage software is a must along with Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
