Chipley Gun and Pawn is seeking a dependable customer focused retail sales associate / Pawn Broker to join our team in Chipley, Florida.
This position works directly with customers assisting with retail sales, merchandise evaluation, and general operations. Our associates work with a wide range of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, outdoor gear, and sporting goods.
The ideal candidate is friendly, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, while providing outstanding customer service.

Duties
- Facilitate pawn transactions by appraising items, setting loan terms, and providing clear explanations of policies
- Assist customers in browsing, selecting, and purchasing merchandise through engaging product demos and upselling techniques
- Maintain accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Conduct merchandising activities including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring attractive product presentation
- Promote store specials and new arrivals to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person with professionalism and friendliness
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with product demos to highlight features and benefits
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in firearms, jewelry and electronics
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle phone inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math principles
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting merchandise as needed
