The Chinook Primary Care Network (CPCN) is seeking a dedicated Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to provide evidence-based practice that is in alignment with professional standards of practice, Alberta legislation and regulations, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines.
The Pelvic Health Physiotherapist Will
The CPCN Pelvic Health Physiotherapist will work from the Lethbridge Pelvic Health Clinic located in the Breast & Cervical Health Clinic at the Chinook Regional Hospital and will be accountable to and report to the Chinook PCN Primary Health Care Optimization Lead in coordination with the Manager of Breast and Cervical Health.

Job Description
The Chinook Primary Care Network (CPCN) is seeking a dedicated Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to provide evidence-based practice that is in alignment with professional standards of practice, Alberta legislation and regulations, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines.
The Pelvic Health Physiotherapist Will
- Provide rehabilitation for pelvic health issues such as urinary or fecal incontinence, diastasis recti, dyspareunia, post-partum return to activity, pelvic organ prolapse, and post-prostatectomy incontinence.
- Review clinical referrals, conduct comprehensive assessments, develop, plan and implement appropriate physiotherapy services.
- Work both independently, and as part of an interdisciplinary team while maintaining effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- Participate in client, family and caregiver education; produce and maintain client information, documentation and verbal reports to support the delivery of physiotherapy services.
- Maintain a practice knowledge base including knowledge specific to the defined service area, relevant services and resources and regulatory college standards and requirements.
- Meet with Chinook PCN on an ongoing basis to discuss learning, develop processes and define issues to be brought forward to ensure optimal outcome of this project.
The CPCN Pelvic Health Physiotherapist will work from the Lethbridge Pelvic Health Clinic located in the Breast & Cervical Health Clinic at the Chinook Regional Hospital and will be accountable to and report to the Chinook PCN Primary Health Care Optimization Lead in coordination with the Manager of Breast and Cervical Health.
Requirements
- Completion of a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited University program or Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited University program and related experience.
- Active registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College Association.
- Pelvic Health Courses and certification completed
