Brand Development & Management - Champion CASL’s identity by ensuring consistent and compelling brand communication across all channels.
- Monitor brand effectiveness and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to co-develop creative concepts and activation plans.
- Ensure timely execution and evaluation of campaign success through measurable outcomes.
- Foster an inclusive storytelling culture by engaging staff to identify and share impactful client, staff, and program stories.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and training sessions on storytelling best practices.
- Oversee CASL’s storytelling platform to ensure stories are captured, cataloged, and utilized effectively.
- Serves as a visible ambassador for CASL through the CASL Connect initiative, building authentic relationships across departments, partner organizations, and the Chinatown community. Represents CASL at local fairs, events, and seminars to share our story, gather community insights, and strengthen visibility and trust.
- Develop and implement a robust communications strategy aligned with CASL’s strategic plan.
- Co-create and maintain an editorial content calendar to ensure consistent, timely publication.
- Develop standardized toolkits (copy, visuals, templates) for internal and external brand consistency.
- Demonstrated ability to craft clear, compelling, and mission-aligned content across digital and print platforms—including newsletters, web copy, press releases, and social media—that inspires engagement and strengthens CASL’s voice
- Support the Director of Marketing & Communications in executing a comprehensive PR strategy.
- Cultivate relationships with media partners, stakeholders, and lawmakers to enhance visibility and credibility.
- Manage media inquiries, track communication effectiveness, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, or Journalism required.
- 2–5 years of experience in a communications or marketing role.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Demonstrated ability to craft narratives that advance organizational strategy, strengthen brand reputation, and drive meaningful engagement across internal and external audiences.
- Exceptional skill in translating data, impact, and lived experiences into compelling, values-aligned stories that inspire action and community connection.
- Proficient in leveraging social, web, and multimedia platforms to expand reach and measure performance; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and digital analytics tools preferred.
- Adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously—balancing creativity with structure, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to interpret engagement metrics and translate insights into actionable communication strategies that elevate impact.
- Thrives in cross-functional environments, building strong partnerships, and promoting a culture of transparency and shared ownership.
- Communicates with inclusivity, empathy, and awareness of diverse perspectives, ensuring messaging reflects CASL’s mission and community values.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, balancing creativity, precision, and sound judgment while managing multiple high-impact projects to timely, high-quality completion.
- Experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations
- Familiarity with donor or CRM systems for media tracking.
- Multilingual skills (Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish) preferred.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods, with occasional movement. Occasionally moves objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm), with flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a salary range of $60,000 - $65,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
