Duties
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials according to project plans
- Problem solving
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials such as concrete, lumber, and steel components while following proper ergonomic techniques
- Operate power tools and equipment safely for cutting, drilling, or assembling structures in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety standards
- Follow all workplace safety protocols including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection procedures, climbing safety practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and harnesses
- Skills
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards and implementation of safety protocols
- Proficiency in manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and material transportation
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining awareness of surroundings
- Climbing skills for working at heights or on scaffolding with proper fall protection measures in place
- Understanding of respiratory protection requirements when working in dusty or hazardous environments
