Responsibilities
- Carefully pack Chinese food orders, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Load and unload food packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver orders safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe driving practices during route driving
- Use mobile devices to manage delivery routes, update delivery statuses, and communicate with team members as needed
- Assist with warehouse operations including moving stock, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean workspace
- Load and unload deliveries using manual lifting techniques while practicing safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience or experience in material handling is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving is a plus
- Experience with delivery driver roles, including route driving and customer service interactions
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles such as box trucks or vans
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including the use of material handling equipment like pallet jacks
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques in accordance with workplace safety standards
- Familiarity with DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude to ensure positive delivery experiences
