Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and efficient front of house staff member to join our team at Oriental Restaurant, a vibrant and bustling Chinese restaurant. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be dedicated to ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers upon arrival
- Take drink orders upon seating
- Serve beverages promptly and accurately
- Clear and clean tables and surrounding area after customers leave
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including vacuuming floors and wiping down surfaces
- Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant, ensuring all areas are clean and tidy
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the restaurant management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and a team player
Compensation:
- Wages are primarily based on tips
