WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3 years of experience in a related position or apprenticeship
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, work on rooftops, and work outdoors in all types of weather
- Ability to provide your own trade-related hand tools
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work with a team
- Passion for masonry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional attitude and a customer service mindset
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license
WHAT AN AVERAGE DAY LOOKS LIKE AS OUR CHIMNEY REPAIR MASON
- Completing high-quality repairs on our clients' chimney systems
- Restoring old and damaged masonry work
- Accurately cutting and laying masonry materials (brick, stone, etc.) according to technical drawings and plans
- Mixing cement and mortar
- Skillfully using various power and hand tools
- Setting up, cleaning, and tearing down the job site
- Training apprentices as needed
- Assisting with installing liners, maintaining trade tools, and other responsibilities as assigned
