Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Hostess/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in food service and hospitality environments. This role is essential in ensuring a positive first impression and smooth seating process for all patrons. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, The Host/Hostess will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating with the service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with guest services such as providing menus, answering questions about the menu, and offering recommendations
- Support the overall flow of the restaurant by managing guest relations and ensuring timely seating
Experience
- Prior experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant guest services is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and hospitality experience are highly valued
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
