What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Collision Paint Technician position at Chilton Auto Body?
Position Title: Painter
Department: Operations
Reports to: Location Manager
Position Summary:
MUST HAVE AUTO COLLISION EXPERIENCE!!!
Responsibilities:
*Determines the methods, techniques, devices and materials that are best suited for the surface finish
*Performs all prep and paint procedures and operations to ensure top quality finish
*Capable of refinishing to a level consistent to OEM finish without rework (no buffing, no runs, no dirt)
*Capable of disassembly and reassembly procedures
*Will be prepping projects for paint by removing grease, dirt, paint, rust
*Remove accessories such as chrome or mirrors
*Select/operate correct spray gun for the material being applied
*Additional duties as needed
Job duties/Job description may be adjusted or added based on the needs of the business or at management discretion
Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team to meet shared objectives.
- Ability to work independently as well as parts of a team.
- Self-motivated.
- Valid drivers' license required.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Willing and able to pass a thorough background check.
