Third-Shift Saw Operator – Chillicothe Steel Company
Chillicothe, Ohio | Full-time | Third shift | Starting pay around $28.00/hour
Chillicothe Steel is a growing, 100% employee-owned steel distributor, and we're hiring a Saw Operator for third shift. This is a hands-on, physical job in a steel warehouse. If you work hard, take pride in doing the job right and want to share in the company's success, we want to talk to you.
What you'll do
- Run saws to cut steel accurately to customer orders
- Read work orders and measure precisely with a tape measure
- Use a forklift to load, unload and move material
- Keep your work area safe, clean and organized
- Work with the team to get orders out right and on time
What we're looking for
- A hard worker with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting and staying on your feet for a full shift in a warehouse
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Good math skills, including fractions and measurements
- Able to read a tape measure accurately
- Forklift experience (we can certify the right person)
- A team player with a good attitude
- Reliable, safety-minded and dependable on third shift
