Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role based in Burbank, CA, for a Grip and Lighting Technician. The role involves setting up and fixing lighting, grip, and rigging equipment for video productions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with grip and lighting systems, collaborating with the other technicians and ensuring all equipment is maintained, functioning properly, and is prepared on time for pickup. The role requires technical expertise and physical readiness to handle equipment efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You may be asked to drive cargo vans, 3-ton trucks, or your personal vehicle on equipment deliveries.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lighting/grip roles on set
- Skills in troubleshooting technical issues related to production equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under time constraints
- Willingness to work on-site and adapt to the dynamic nature of our growing rental house
- Relevant certifications or training in lighting or video production (preferred)
- Prior experience working in other rental houses is appreciated
- Valid California driver's license
