Job Overview
Chill provides care and support for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
We provide in home and community based services within the northern Colorado area. We are hiring an experienced Direct Support Professional to join our team and help us with our main goal of keeping our individuals safe while also helping them live their best life.
Responsibilities for Direct Support Professional
These are some tasks you may be responsible for
- Ensure the their clients receive their medicine
- Create daily schedules for their clients and help them follow it
- Log all day-to-day activities
- Help clients maintain their home by cleaning and doing laundry
- Prepare meals for the client
- Help the client gain more independence
- Set short and long term goals for the client
- Provide respite for family caregivers
- Take individuals on daily outings for chances to socialize with others within their communities
- Help with personal care needs such as toileting and bathing
- Help with communication and helping individuals express their needs and wants
- Serve as a mentor and advocate
Qualifications for Direct Support Professional
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Working, reliable vehicle
- CPR certified
- Positive attitude and ability to talk to anyone
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to handle stressful situations well
- Great communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
