The Position
We're hiring an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain HVAC systems across the five boroughs. This is NOT an entry-level role - you'll work independently on systems, make the right call under pressure, and represent Chill Factor in front of clients. What You'll Do
- Install, service, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems - central A/C, boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, and more
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Identify system inefficiencies and recommend the right remedy
- Keep every job compliant with NYC building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specs
- Run routine maintenance checks and system inspections
- Replace or repair defective components and parts
- Support system design and layout on new installations
- Keep clear, accurate records of all work performed
- Communicate professionally with residents and clients as needed
What You Need (Required)
- 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience
- EPA Section 608 certification
- NYC refrigeration license (FDNY Certificate of Fitness)
- Strong, independent troubleshooting on real HVAC equipment
- Reliability, professionalism, and comfort working across all five boroughs
Nice to Have
- Valid NYC driver's license
- Commercial rooftop / large-system experience
- Familiarity with current high-efficiency and heat-pump technology
