Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy using POS systems
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed, adhering to food industry regulations
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate register operations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices in a café setting
• Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks during high-volume periods
• Experience in food preparation or serving within the food industry is advantageous but not mandatory
