Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage routes efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklift equipment when required.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving with knowledge of route driving practices.
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, tankers, or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading freight.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining logs and records.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
