We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist in supervising children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and early learning standards
- Engage children in educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on children’s progress and address any concerns
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively in emergencies
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required; pediatric first aid training is highly preferred
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors with patience and professionalism
