What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Teacher (Full-Time) position at ChildServe?
We are looking for a caring and energetic member to join ChildServe as a Childcare Teacher starting in May. This individual will contribute to a positive, nurturing environment that is safe, clean and organized for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years old. Childcare Teachers at ChildServe encourage children’s overall development through appropriate play-based activities and working collaboratively with families.
Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 6:30 AM and 6 PM.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide routine care for infants and children, including diapering/personal cares, hygiene support, hand washing, and serving meals and snacks.
- Maintain a safe environment through constant supervision, adherence to staff/child ratios, accurate name-to-face attendance, and consistent assessment of children’s general health with timely reporting of concerns.
- Support a clean, organized, and structured environment—indoors and outdoors—by following Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) strategies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to families and complete all required documentation accurately and within established deadlines.
- Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time and participating in required training sessions, staff meetings, and annual professional development.
- Ability to meet health and safety requirements, including passing a ChildServe physical exam and adhering to any applicable COVID-19 protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, remain mobile in classroom and playground environments, and perform frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and standing.
- Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, Mandatory Reporter, Standard Precautions, and DHS Pre-Service Essential Training certifications within 90 days of hire.
- Effective communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- High school diploma or GED required; prior experience providing care and supervision for children preferred.
